For business
QR codes for events: tickets, entry and everything between
At an event a QR code works as one key to everything: the ticket, the schedule, the floor plan, the feedback form at the end. The trick is making it work where the network does not.
Where QR actually saves time
The biggest win is at the door. One code on a ticket replaces searching a name in a list: the guest steps up, you scan, you see first entry or already inside. For queues that is half the job done.
What belongs on the ticket page
Not only event info. Date, time, address, where to stand, what you may bring, the running order, a playlist link and an add-to-calendar button. People come back to that page several times, so it has to earn the visit.
When the network is weak
In stadiums and old halls the connection drops exactly when the crowd arrives. Keep a fallback: a printed list, an offline mode in the app, or a scanner that only stores codes and syncs later. Decide this before the day, not during it.
