QR Studio
How to test a QR code before you publish it
Five minutes of checking saves a print run, a wall of stickers and a bit of reputation. Here is what to do before you print.
Test on two phones, not one
Scan with two devices, and let one of them be older — that is usually where problems show up.
Try both the built-in camera and a separate scanner app. If the camera reads it and the app does not, adjust contrast or size.
Test the print at real size
Print it on a normal printer at 1:1 and put it where the final piece will live.
This reveals what a screen hides: a size that is too small, lamp glare, a code on a fold or at an angle.
Test the destination and the counting
Open the link: the page should be comfortable on a phone and must not ask for a login.
If the code is dynamic, check that you can change the address after printing — that is what saves a run when a site moves.
Two new tools: a safety-check scanner and the QR Studio
Next to the generator you now have a QR scanner that shows what is inside a code before you open it, and the QR Studio for colours, a logo, ready templates and print-ready files.
